Palestine Struggle

Palestine Struggle Biography
And yet thousands of Palestinians from rival factions celebrated in the streets of the West Bank and Gaza in support of Mahmoud Abbas's bid to upgrade the status of the Palestinians to that of a non-member observer state. Many Palestinians in the diaspora, as well as their supporters, have sincerely and in good faith celebrated the political and diplomatic victory because it provides international legitimation and affirmation of Palestine, and perhaps "gives the issue of Israel's repression of the Palestinians a little more profile." It also possibly (although not certainly) may, as Francis Boyle, Professor of international law at the University of Illinois College of Law and author of Palestine, Palestinians and International Law has put it, represent the "start of a 'Legal Intifada' by Palestine against Israel." This was a reference to the potential for the new status to enable the Palestinians to join a number of UN agencies, as well as the International Criminal Court (ICC).
On one (admittedly limited) view, there is something to celebrate. The enhanced status, granted by an overwhelming majority of 138 votes in favour (to 9 votes against, and 41 abstentions, including Australia), represents a symbolic and diplomatic victory: an indirect recognition of a Palestinian state on the basis of the 1967 borders (namely, the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip).
That some European countries, including France, voted in favour has allowed Europe implicitly to oppose Israel's settlement expansion program, without actually doing anything that is politically damaging. We must remember, after all, that the European Union (EU), comprised of twenty-seven EU nations that remained divided on the vote, is Israel's leading economic partner.
The upgraded status was always going to be symbolic and, for the more cynical and realistic among us who can remember Palestinians dancing in the streets after the Oslo accords and who are interested in action not words, it has been a theatrical spectacle of rhetoric and grand pronouncements. The United Nations has delivered countless resolutions against Israel and in support of justice for Palestinians that have gone further than mere symbolic support for the Palestinian cause. Even then, the situation on the ground has not changed - indeed the prospects of a two-state solution deteriorate further by the day.
It is as though two parties sit at a table discussing how fairly to divide a cake. While party A eats party B's portion of the cake, a third party, C, declares the right of party B to half of the cake. Party B, impotent, weary and frustrated by the increasing crumbs being left on his side of the plate, celebrates Party C's declaration as a victory: at least Party C's declaration recognizes my right to have more than just crumbs.
It is a testament to the wretched position the Palestinians are in that they have come to this; that this upgraded status represents some kind of victory. Without action and pressure to restore the rights of Palestinians, nothing will or can change and we will continue to talk about the cake and not the crumbs. Indeed, one day after the UN resolution passed, Israel announced the construction of 3,000 more settler homes in occupied East Jerusalem in a move that has been described as direct retaliation for the vote.
Anybody who still believes that gaining a non-member state status is actually going to advance the Palestinian struggle for freedom has been seduced by the pomp and ceremony.
Ali Abunimah, journalist and founder of Electronic Intifada, in an interview on WBEZ Worldview, noted the attitude of some Palestinians about the upgraded status who, in sheer desperation, argue, "It may not be the most fantastic or important thing, but what else can we do?" This, Abuminah said, demonstrates "the absence of a Palestinian strategy at the political level, at the level of leadership, whether it's Abbas or Hamas." He goes on to ask:
"What is your strategy? What are your goals? How are you going to restore the rights of the Palestinian people? And it seems to be that Abbas's strategy is statehood at any price. And that diverges from many Palestinians who say that statehood is not our goal. Our goal is to restore our rights, to restore rights of the land, to restore the rights of refugees, to restore the rights of Palestinians living as second-class citizens in Israel."
The festival of celebrations will be over soon, and Israel's pride will recover from the symbolic slap in the face.
Whether the Palestinians are able to carry out a "legal intifada" against Israel remains to be seen. Those who place their hope in the Palestinian Authority taking steps to hold Israel to account naively failed to grasp that the Palestinian Authority essentially manages the occupation for Israel through its "security coordination" with Israel. Mahmoud Abbas has "always been the obedient servant of the United States and Israel." It must not be forgotten that in October 2009, Abbas, under pressure from Israel, the United States and European diplomats, abandoned a resolution requesting the UN Human Rights Council to forward Judge Richard Goldstone's Report on war crimes in Gaza to the UN Security Council for further action.
Meanwhile, the settlement expansion and land and water expropriation will persist unabated, and Israel will continue to cement its status as an apartheid state - identified as such by such well-known figures as Israeli author Uri David, Israeli historian Illan Pappe, Former Special Rapporteur John Dugard, Former American President Jimmy Carter, American academic Norman Finkelstein and Noble Peace Prize winner Desmond Tutu, just to name a few.
We should not be surprised that this development in the United Nations will have no impact on the status quo. The long-standing acquiescence of the Western world, coupled with the complicity of the self-serving Arab states, has enabled Israel to continue to create facts on the ground without fear of actual consequence and in complete disregard for international law.
And it is for this reason that the alternative grassroots Boycotts, Divestments and Sanctions (BDS) campaign is emerging as the most effective way to circumvent the tired political games and failed diplomacy. In 2005, Palestinian civil society called for a global BDS campaign against Israel until it complies with international law and Palestinian rights. It is clear that holding Israel to account will not come from the United States or Europe, and certainly not from our government. It must come from civil society and it is proving a highly effective, punitive and non-violent form of resistance precisely because it is a strategy that allows global citizens of conscience to apply pressure on Israel to respect human rights and international law.
So forgive me for joining the chorus of those crashing the party, but the Palestinian struggle for justice deserves more than symbolic victories. It is, as the late Edward Said said, "a just cause, a noble ideal, a moral quest for equality and human rights." It is a struggle worthy of action and real commitment. As with the pressure applied on South Africa to end its apartheid regime, justice will inevitably be achieved because of the momentum built from the grassroots up.
It is in the powerful hands of global civil society, not the corridors of impotent institutions and hypocritical diplomats, that justice will eventually be served.

Palestine Muslims Biography

No issue has the same global impact as the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. During the cold war, the United States and the Soviet Union twice raised their security alerts and aggressively challenged each other over this conflict. The oil embargo of the 1970s was inspired by the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. Numerous militants, terrorist groups and governments around the world which seek legitimacy place the Palestinian/Israeli conflict at the forefront of their agenda. And while the Palestinian/Israeli conflict is not the cause of terrorism, solving this conflict may transform the political landscape of the entire Middle East and expose the various agendas of numerous violent groups who leach on this conflict to win the hearts and minds of emotional and unsuspecting people.
Because of the global impact of this conflict, the entire world must do all it can to bring peace between the Palestinians and Israelis. Towards that end the Free Muslims propose the following:
Today there are three solutions to this conflict. The Israelis and Palestinians can kill each other; they can separate by creating two separate nations; or they can create one nation made up of two people. Presently, the only solution being discussed is a two state solution. This solution is based on separating both people into two separate and sovereign nations. While the Free Muslims support any solution that brings final peace to both Israelis and Palestinians, we believe there are serious problems with the two state solution that may not bring long term peace to both people.
During the Clinton administration, the Palestinians and Israelis spent nearly ten years trying to hammer out a deal based on the two state solution. That peace process ended in total failure. Immediately after the failure of that peace process, Israelis and Palestinians blamed each other for the failure; and the rest of the world took side with either the Palestinians or the Israelis.
However, neither the Palestinians nor the Israelis are to blame for the failure of the Clinton era peace talks which were based on the "Oslo agreement." What caused the failure of the peace talks maybe the solution it self rather than the parties. The consequences of creating two separate nations by dividing Israel and Palestine were and still are difficult pills to swallow for both Israelis and Palestinians. It is a fact that both Israelis and Palestinians have religious, historical and emotional attachments to every square inch of the land that includes Israel and Palestine. The sooner the Palestinians and Israelis understand this reality the sooner they can solve their conflict.
From the point of view of many Israelis, the two state solution is difficult because they would have to give up their religious and historical attachments to the West Bank and Gaza which they call Judea and Samaria. Many Israelis simply cannot fathom giving up the West Bank and Gaza and maybe they should not have to. From the point of view of the Palestinians, the two states solution is difficult because they have historical, religious and emotional attachments not only to the West Bank and Gaza but also to Israel which they call the lands of 1948 after the year they lost it to present day Israel. These are the facts and realities that the Palestinians and Israelis have to deal with to solve their conflict.
In light of these facts some may think that a solution to this conflict is impossible. Not true. The Palestinian/Israeli conflict can be solved like any other conflict as long as the parties think outside the box and as long as no one uses violence or terrorism to effect political change.
In light of the attachments that both parties have for the same territory, the solution is not in separating but in coming closer together. Many Israelis and Palestinians seem to agree that the land they call Israel/Palestine is indivisible. Thus, the solution lies in keeping the land that Israelis and Palestinians call home as one nation while at the same time providing each side with the security and the individuality the parties would have if they had their own separate nations.
What is being proposed here is a Two State-One Nation solution based on equality, freedom and civil rights for both Israelis and Palestinians. The idea behind this solution is that there will be two sovereign states similar to New York and New Jersey that together make one nation similar to the United States of America. However, rather than being a federation it would be a confederation. The main difference between a federation and a confederation is that the states in a confederacy have much more sovereignty than in a federation.
What is being proposed here is not entirely new. What is new about the two state-one nation solution is that it achieves the benefits of being one united nation while reserving for both Israelis and Palestinians the security and independence of being two separate nations.
To illustrate this point further, note that after occupying the West Bank and Gaza in 1967, Israel could have annexed and integrated those territories into Israel by providing the Palestinians with Israeli citizenship. However, Israel did not do this and instead chose to treat the West Bank and Gaza as if they were part of Israel physically without providing the Palestinians in those territories with citizenship, political rights or civilian rule. Among the reasons Israel did not integrate the Palestinians of the West Bank and Gaza into Israel is because Israelis were afraid of a demographic problem. The Israelis feared that if they gave the Palestinians equality, political and civil rights that the Palestinians may one day out number the Israelis and vote Israel out of existence. While we understand this concern by Israelis, those Israelis who fear giving the Palestinians equality and civil rights assume that they cannot give the Palestinians equality and at the same time have a Jewish state. This is a false assumption. The territory that includes Israel and Palestine can be one nation where the Palestinians have equality, political and civil rights and at the same time be a safe heaven for Jews from all over the world.
This can be done by creating a federation of two states united by a federal type government with limited powers. The country can be called the United States of Israel/Palestine.
Undoubtedly what is happening to the Muslims in the Holy Land of hardship, torture, expulsion, killing and harm is a matter which causes sorrow to every Muslim, and indeed to every non-Muslim who is reasonable, fair-minded and compassionate, when they see the blatant persecution inflicted upon innocent people, with the intention of driving them out of their homes so that the enemy can take their place, which is an enemy that possesses the most advanced weapons, with which they attack unarmed people who are deprived of the means of defending themselves.
This Muslim people has endured for more than fifty years, facing unending Zionist arrogance and aggression, which pays no heed to human dignity or any covenant or treaty, or any law, except that to which their own whims and desires make them inclined and in which their evil rabbis and warlords encourage them.
The outcome of that is well known to Muslims as well as Jews, which is that the consequences will be in favour of the pious and the party of God will be the victors. The wrongdoer will never enjoy security, stability and prosperity, rather he will be faced with fear, anxiety, grief and shame, until the day comes when the Muslims come back to their religion and are governed by the sharee’ah of their Lord, then they will meet the Jews in battle, where the two sides will face one another, and victory will go to the people of faith.
Al-Bukhaari (2926) and Muslim (2922) narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The Hour will not begin until the Muslims fight the Jews and kill them, until a Jew will be hiding behind a rock or a tree, and the rock or tree will say, ‘O Muslim, O slave of Allaah, here is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!’ except for the box-thorn (al-gharqad), for it is one of the trees of the Jews.”
We ask Allaah to hasten the Muslims’ return to their religion and to grant them the means of victory. May He grant us the joy of seeing His religion prevail and His enemies humiliated, and may He raise the status of those who are persecuted, tortured or killed for His sake.
And Allaah knows best.

Israel Palestine Occupation Biography

Amnesty International's concerns are based on international standards and applied equally within the proper legal framework. The legal framework is defined by who retains jurisdiction, or effective control, over an area and the circumstances or situation at the time of the human rights violation. Amnesty's concerns within Israel-proper, the area inside the 1949 (W. Bank/E. Jerusalem) and 1951 (Gaza Strip) armistice lines (also called the '1967 borders') include but are not limited to, ill-treatment and torture of detainees, excessive use of force, the detention of conscientious objectors, and forced evictions and home demolitions within 'unrecognized' Bedouin villages.
The Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory (the West Bank including East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip) is in its fifth decade and the undercurrent of violence and inherent abuses of fundamental human rights and disregard for international law inherent in any long-standing military occupation is presented by both sides. Both Israeli and Palestinian civilians continue to bear the brunt of the violence in the region.
Human rights violations by Israeli forces in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) have included, but are not limited to, home demolitions and the forced eviction of Palestinian families; punitive arrests, unfair trials, ill-treatment and torture of detainees and the use of excessive or lethal force to subdue nonviolent demonstrations as well as the use of restrictive legal means. In contravention of international law, Israel continues to build parts of the wall/fence in the OPT, expand settlements and use draconian restrictions on the movement of Palestinians with some 600 roadblocks and checkpoints. Amnesty International is also concerned about discriminatory policies affecting access to water for Palestinians.
In areas under control of the Palestinian Authority, concerns include, but are not limited to, excessive use of force, arbitrary arrests, ill-treatment, torture and the use of administrative detention to jail individuals without charge or trial. Some detainees also do not receive adequate medical attention.
A ceasefire between Israeli forces and Palestinian armed groups in the Gaza Strip in effect since 2009 has been generally respected. The Gaza Strip has been under increasing restrictions since 2005, when Israel unilaterally pulled troops and settlers out of the strip. June 2007, restrictions tightened to an almost air-tight blockade, deepening the hardship there and virtually imprisoning the entire population of 1.6 million.
Israel maintains effective control over Gaza, controlling all but one of the crossings into the Gaza Strip, the airspace, territorial waters, telecommunications and the population registry which determines who is allowed to leave or enter Gaza. Therefore, Israel is still considered the occupying power and is responsible for the welfare of the inhabitants in the strip under international humanitarian law.
Israeli authorities rejected or delayed hundreds of permit applications to leave Gaza by Palestinians requiring specialist medical treatment; a few died as a result. Most of Gaza's inhabitants depend on international aid, which is severely hampered by the blockade. In May 2010, Israeli forces killed nine men aboard an aid flotilla in international waters that was challenging the blockade's legality.
Amnesty also has concerns about the indiscriminate rocket fire into southern Israel by armed Palestinian groups. Palestinian militants fired a rocket into Israel that hit a school bus, killing a 16 year old boy April 2011.
Hamas continues to refuse Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier captured in 2006, visits by the International Committee of the Red Cross and regular communication with his family. And following hostilities between Israel and the Gaza Strip Dec. 2008 - Jan. 2009, Hamas has failed to conduct any domestic investigation into the serious allegations of violations of international humanitarian and human rights law committed by their forces during the conflict and Israel's investigations have been inadequate - failing to meet international standards.
Political Situation
Prospects for a just and durable resolution to the conflict are remote despite the fact that the Palestine Liberation Organization recognized the State of Israel in 1988 and Israel allowed the Palestinian leadership to return to the Occupied Territories under the Oslo Accords in 1994. Israel continues to violate international law by expanding settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem and the Palestinian Authority appears to have given up on direct negotiations, planning to go directly to the United Nations to seek official recognition of the State of Palestine within the '1967 borders' against the wishes of the Israeli government.Serious human rights violations continued in 2011 in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT). Israeli soldiers used unnecessary lethal force against demonstrators in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights and across the border in Lebanon. Israeli military attacks in Gaza and policing operations in the West Bank resulted in the deaths of at least 37 civilians.
Israel continued to block exports from, and many imports to, the Gaza Strip, hindering the rebuilding of Gaza’s devastated economy. In the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, Israel demolished a record number of Palestinian homes under discriminatory practices, imposed severe restrictions on Palestinian freedom of movement, continued to build unlawful settlements, and arbitrarily detained peaceful protesters, including children.
Palestinian armed groups in Gaza launched hundreds of rocket attacks at Israeli population centers in 2011, killing two civilians and seriously injuring at least nine others; indiscriminate mortar attacks seriously injured at least four civilians in Israel. Another attack fatally injured an Israeli youth in a school bus. Egyptian attackers whom Israel claimed operated in coordination with armed groups in Gaza crossed the Egyptian border and killed six Israeli civilians.
Hamas authorities carried out three judicial executions in 2011 after unfair military trials, and allegedly tortured scores of detainees, some of whom died in custody.
The Palestinian Authority's (PA) security services arbitrarily detained hundreds of Hamas supporters as well as politically unaffiliated protesters who supported the pro-democracy Arab Spring movements and reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah. The PA also arrested journalists who were critical of the authorities. Credible allegations of torture by the PA's security services continued.

Palestina Islam Biography
Answers to this question becomes a very interesting discussion on a number of mailing lists. Baskara T Wardaya, Director, Center for History and Political Ethics Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta, in the daily Compass (Jan. 8) write, remember that a victim is all, of course funny when doing a rally denouncing Israel regarding the Gaza Strip attack currently only citizen from a particular religion (Islam). According Baskara, Israel's military incursion by many referred to as the non-rush blindly with religious motivation, but the raid with political motivation and arbitrariness of power. Plenty of people say and conclude as such. But the facts, Israel ambitious to regain Palestinian land, for upholding the prophecy of the prophets that they believe that Palestine is their homeland as promised by God (the Promised Land). So, come at any time, Israel will still be characterized the "history" of Israel-Palestinian by faith "Judaism" them. A friend lists yesterday (January 7) to send a written article named Leonard C.Epafras. Initialize the article, saying quote Epafras Hindustan: "Earth laughs when someone claiming a place as his." In a lengthy article, Epafras among others write, for some Christians (especially devotees mileniarisme or governmental thousand), this event (conflict / conflict / war between Israel-Palestine) could be seen as a sign that the coming of Jesus the second time, is within reach. Advent that begins with the battle of the nations in Jerusalem (Armageddon) and set it up again the Temple of the God of Israel (about perwujudannya details, there are a lot of ideas among Christians). So the conflict is going on, write Epafras, accepted as a mere necessity in the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. similar scenario also owned several groups of Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox Jews who insisted to immediately set up the house of God for the sake of Israel commemorate the arrival of the Messiah version. Shortly after the end of the War 1967 Six Day which allows Israel dominated East Jerusalem, Shlomo Goren, a hero General Moshe Dayan, feel 'heard' site coming of the Messiah. This Wangsit brought on 16 August 1967, on the day of Tisha B'Av (the day commemorating the fall of two religious in Israel Temple by the Babylonians and the Romans), ways of entering the Haram al-Sharif together his followers, do prayer and religious rites and means erecting a Synagogue of Islamic holy sites (Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque). Facing two scenarios above, even with the Arab Muslims the same religious spirit seeks to protect the interest of Islam strongly throughout Palestine, East Jerusalem, the old city of Jerusalem and the most important of all, the Haram al-Sharif. Scenarios fragmentation issue from a religious perspective for them is to make Jerusalem (East) entirely as a Muslim city by evacuating the Jews and Christians (Jerusalem old long since been divided into four 'villages', ie village Christian, Muslim villagers, including the Haram al-Sharif, who is also the village Armenian Christian, Jewish village). thing more wretched and memperuwet situation, according Epafras, is the whole issue above also absorb the energy of the nations of the world, including Indonesia. Indonesia, which is 9,000 km from Israel, too sucked in this dispute through demonstrations of anti-Israel. Well, that is the question, why the incessant demonstrations only people of Indonesia waving 'flag' Islam, when Muslims Christians - especially Christian Palestinian citizens - - also harmed. terms of religion, according to the article in Kompas Baskara, most victims of Muslim it, but not a bit of Christian citizens who are also victims. As we know, many Palestinian people embrace Christianity, and they are equally a victim cruelty Israeli war machine intended to destroy Hamas group. Islamic-Christian contiguous Palestinian Historically, generation after generation, the majority of Palestinian citizens of Muslim and Christian Palestinian population living side by side in peace. They love the same homeland, they have national ambitions of the same hand. Both of the dream of a peaceful life as a complex nation. Amid oppression iniquity of Israel, they are equally fighting for an independent Palestinian homeland, just and prosperous, honorable among the other nations of the world. Baskara noted, a number of Palestinian Christians has become a figure-figure who stands at the forefront of the struggle of the Palestinian, whether in the sphere of the political, social, or cultural. Call it, for example, Emil Habibi, George Habash, Azmi Bishara, and Hanan Ashrawi who are important figures in Palestinian politics; Elia Suleiman and Abu-Assad Nay, leading film producers; Raja Shehadeh, author and legal expert, or Raymonda Tawil , political activist beans with pungent odor is the mother-in-law the late Yasser Arafat. Also intellectual and political activist Christian Palestinian descent who desperately defend Palestine in the international community. For the people of Palestine, in view of each other, it seems that the main religion is not what a person, but the extent of that person's commitment to fight together for the future of Palestine. Ironically, write Baskara, precisely because many Christians are at the forefront of the struggle of the Palestinian government that Israel since 1948 working hard to ensure that these Christians hengkang of Palestinian land and reside outside the state only. Israel realized, Christians have a great potential to be Palestinian struggle connecting with the outside world (remember, one of the most consistent defenders of Palestine on the international stage is the late Pope John Paul II). Accordingly, the government secretly countries actively support the Christian This leave Palestine. Israel's leaders do not mind if the attack this time many Christian Palestinian citizens are also victims militernya operations. Given that a victim is all, of course be funny when doing a rally denouncing Israel regarding the Gaza Strip attack currently only citizen from a particular religion . Christians are perplexed Very likely, Christian communities here perplexed, because the stories in the Bible, the word "Israel" is often mentioned. Although the nation of Israel "stiff-necked" (often transgress the commandment of God), the ministers in kotbahnya almost always end with a "happy ending" that the nation of Israel (referring to the Old Testament) remains as the elect of God. During each kotbahnya, clerics prefer verse Bible verses that tesktual (historical) of information (folosofis-sociological). This fact directly or indirectly so strongly embedded in the subconscious mind of the Christians that Israel is synonymous with Christian without trying to understand with full awareness that the Jewish Israel-is that up until now rejecting Jesus. therefore can be understood if the Christian community in Indonesia to be more good to do anything but silence could be interpreted tidbits. In a mailing list that I follow, the call to follow condemn Israel even bring up the pros and cons opinion. Guna give objective and positive about Israel's case, the members of the list spread some articles. One of which is an article taken from the list Yabina. In the article written for Christian people who have inner relationship with Israel is because some holy book of the same, it can be noted that there is a sense of their partiality to Israel, no matter what the Israelis are doing. Yet events bombing in Gaza could become a mirror for thought for a moment, whether Israel does the will of God in the conflict in Gaza? How exactly is Israel authorities attitude towards Muslims and Christians who believe in Jesus as the Messiah? Jewish People since old often fall into sin of idolatry and disobedience to God. Israel repeatedly punished, even among the other cast into Egypt, circling for 40 years in the wilderness of Sinai, removed to Babylon, and then had to suffer the diaspora, even during World War II massacre of ethnic suffering (holocaust) in Germany. But the people of Israel did not repent but continue to visit the disappointing God. squeezed Christians Christians was squeezed on both sides of the battle. On one hand, Hamas authorities mention Islam also often commit hostile acts against the Christian community, on the other hand, the Israeli authorities mention Judaism also often commit hostile acts against the Christian community (except for Christian tourist who bring foreign exchange ). Christianity, according to the article, the non-ethnic-centric or Jewish-oriented centrist centripetal (central), but Christianity is centrifugal in nature Kristosentris (spread around the earth). regard the Christian people should ponder keperpihakannya to Israel during this , whether it is in favor of the truth of God or keangkara-murkaan favor of the state of Israel, alignments are thus increasingly hardened their hearts to reject Messiah who had come to visit them two thousand years ago is? Perhaps many do not realize that if Israel before the Holocaust experienced ethnic cleansing (ethnic slaughter), in fact, now is precisely that it was Israel doing ethnic cleansing, that is not the tired efforts to evict Palestinian people from their ancestral land. Not only that Palestinian Arabs are Muslims who have it, but that the Arab Palestinian Christian religion also suffered persecution from Israel authorities. Again and again Israel radical left groups disrupt Palestinian Arab Christians, some are sent a bomb, there is a house digusur, some were uprooted kependudukannya rights. Authority Israel itself often rejects Arab Palestinian Christian religion that has gone out of the land of Israel and wish to return. Hanan Ashrawi, a member of a religious Palestinian negotiator has a daughter who later Christian schools in the United States, and when the daughter married and have a child there, and wanted to bring her grandmother look, it that is less kependudukannya Palestinian population and only given a visa in Israel for a month. Interestingly, the religion of the Jews themselves Jews who reject war with Palestine also often stoned by the radical Israel. Israel war because Hamas is not a religious war, half of the non-religious Israelis are Jewish but have become secular. Clear war in the Middle East is a war over land. Conscious of this situation, write Baskara in Compass, should be disturbed by the atrocities Israel is not just the citizens of one religion, but also from all religions, because all religions teach virtue and resist evil. Let we continually pray for peace in Palestine and that God will bring the spirit of love and gentle care to both parties, both those authorities Hamas or Israeli authorities. ***

Palestina Wall Biography

The Western Wall (also known as Wailing Wall, Kotel or the Burāq Wall) is located in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is one of the most significant sites outside of the Temple Mount for Jewish people because it is a remnant of the ancient wall that surrounded the Jewish Temple’s courtyard.
Jews have been visiting this location for centuries as a place of pilgrimage and they also perform their prayers there. In 19th centuries and after, a several attempts were made in order to purchase rights to the wall, but none were successful.A Palestinian climbs the separation wall at Bethlehem checkpoint between Jerusalem and the West Bank city of Bethlehem, Friday, March 30, 2012. Israeli security forces in riot gear Friday confronted Palestinian demonstrators, anticipating possible clashes along Israel’s frontiers on “Land Day”. The “Land Day” rallies are an annual event marked by Palestinians who protest against discriminatory Israeli land policies. The Wall is not being built on, or in most cases near the 1967 Green Line, but rather cuts deep into the West Bank, expanding Israel’s theft of Palestinian land and resources. In total, 85% of the Wall is located in the West Bank.
When completed, the Wall and its associated regime will de facto annex some 46% of the West Bank, isolating communities into Bantustans, ghettos and “military zones”.
This means that the Palestinian population in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including almost 1.5 million refugees, will be encircled on only 12% of mandate Palestine.
Some 12% of Palestinians in the West Bank will be living in the closed military zone of the Jordan Valley or surrounded on three or four sides by the Wall or isolated between it and the green line. They face increasingly unbearable living conditions - the loss of land, markets, movement and livelihoods - and many will face expulsion.
This includes over 200,000 Palestinians of East Jerusalem, who will be totally isolated from the rest of the West Bank. 98% of the settler population will be included in the de facto annexed areas.
The Wall is not a new “idea” - since 1994 the Gaza Strip has been surrounded by a barrier that cuts off Palestinians there from the rest of the world.
The Apartheid Wall’s Location and Costs
In November 2000 Israeli Prime Minister Barak (Labour Party) approved the first project to build a “barrier”. Construction of the Wall, including land confiscation and the uprooting of trees, began in June 2002 west of Jenin.
As of summer 2010, 520 km of the planned 810 km, or 64%, had been completed. Wall construction was slow for most of 2010 as a result of worries about the financial crisis and ongoing court cases. Instead of building new portions of the Wall, work focused on modifications in the areas of Bil’in, Jayyus and around Jerusalem.
In the latter half of 2010, there was renewed work in Jerusalem where the focus was on closing gaps in certain areas. In Bethlehem, Wall construction has restarted in al Walaja village, where the village will be surrounded on all sides. Work is also ongoing in Beit Jala, where the Wall is being built along a settler road.
The Jordan Valley remains almost completely isolated from the rest of the West Bank as a closed military zone.
According to Israeli military officials, the Wall’s total length will be some 810 km. The cost of the Wall is now estimated at $2.1 billion, and each km costs approximately $2 million. In addition, the Occupation has spent 2 billion shekels to construct alternative roads and tunnels.
The Wall has destroyed a large amount of Palestinian farmland and usurped water supplies, including the biggest aquifer in the West Bank. 78 Palestinian villages and communities with a total population of 266,442 will be isolated as follows:
Villages surrounded by Wall, settlements and settler roads - 257,265 Palestinians.
Villages isolated between Wall and Green Line - 8,557 Palestinians
Villages isolated and residents threatened with expulsion - 6,314 Palestinians.
The so-called “disengagement”, “modifications”, “convergence” and “development” are all part of the Israeli rhetoric that hides the overall strategy for the complete colonization of the West Bank and the expulsion or enslavement of the Palestinian population.
The “modification” of the path of the Wall, far from being a benefit for the local population, often only returns a fraction of what was stolen. It also serves to distract from the ICJ ruling, which calls for the dismantling of the Wall, not the rerouting of small sections. In addition, these modifications often ensure that the lands that remain isolated behind the Wall cannot be accessed by their owners, effectively annexing them. Instead of dismantling settlements, the Occupation continues to expand them, in particular those located around Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
